BMRIT is the health profession concerned with the direct administration of radiation. Medical imaging is not just about taking radiographs, medical imaging technologists also explain procedures to patients and support patients through the radiological process. After the completion of this course students can pursue their career in Radiology Technician, Radiologist, MRI Technician, Radiology Assistant.

Radiology is a branch of medicine that deals with radiant energy used for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by using imaging modalities.

Medical imaging is not just about taking radiographs, medical imaging technologists also explain procedures to patients and support patients through the radiological process. Diagnostic radio technologists employ a range of different imaging techniques and sophisticated equipment to produce high-quality images of an injury or disease using a range of techniques including:

• X-rays
• Mammography
• Fluoroscopy
• CT (computed tomography)
• MRI (magnetic resonance imaging)
• Nuclear medicine
• Angiography

Medical imaging studies have been a cornerstone in medical diagnosis for decades; however, technological advances and the addition of new imaging modalities now place medical imaging among the most dynamic, expanding, and high-demand fields in clinical medicine.

BMRIT is a 3-year full-time Program. Various job profiles are:

The X-Ray department in Shree Ram Institute of Medical Science & Research gives a chance for practical exposure to the students along with theoretical exposure. Medical lab technicians play a crucial role in the functioning of any medical activity.
